Pjele’s Phonograph

3x3 International Illustration Show (US) - 2017
Pjele’s Phonograph discusses violence and self-recovery with an experimental narrative and a small set of metal work. Pjele, the protagonist, found a phonograph and recorded another story from an automaton. In the second story, one little boy was bullied in school but rescued by his grandmother's magic quilt.

II. Metal Works

I made a brooch and a string stool for the old lady in the story as mementos of her grandson. I transferred images of the little boy to paper clay by toluene and use aluminium plate, piano wire and brass to make the work.
